MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Flywheel mount

OK, I have had a bit of brain fade and have no samples at present to go off ...
What is the OD of the 1275 Midget crank where the flywheel mounts? It is different from the Marina by about 1/8" IIRC, but can never remember which is which.

3 inches

Marina is slightly larger.

I think I have examples of both in the garage, but it's a bit late to go measuring now.

I've just measured a Midget crank at 3.030"

The Marina crank is a bit inaccessible, so I couldn't check it, but it is definitely bigger.

ha, mine was 3.030" too but I reckoned the 30 thou was the grease and anti-corrosion treatment I used for storage - maybe not!
David Smith

Thanks :-)
I have inherited 2 cranks with a pile of gear I bought, that will help ID them.

Don't forget the Marina crank only has one dowel and six bolts, Midget has two dowels. Marina also has the larger big-end journal

I have seen reference to, but never actually seen myself (or found listed in parts books for that matter) the late 1275 Midget cranks having the larger journals too.
So always the optimist I wondered if I had found some. I noticed the one dowel, but wondered if it was my tiny mind getting confused again. So decided that flywheel mounting would be the clincher.
And with your figures above I confirmed what I really thought all the way along but sort of hoped opposite: that of course they are Marina ...
