MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Frogeye seat positions

Continuing on my theme of help requests for my Frogeye restoration:

Can someone provide some measurements for fixing of the standard seat bases? Assuming the parts I have are correct, the passenger side is a fixed base with mounting brackets to lift it up clear of the floor strengthener. Whilst the driver's side is adjustable so has a pair of runners. From checking Horler, I see that I will need to make up some wooden blocks for these to sit on to clear the strengthener on that side too.

The floor panels are all new, so I need to drill new fixing holes.
GuyW

Guy, my shell is covered in clutter but I'll try to measure the bolt hole positions tomorrow. Maybe Nick can also oblige as his body is stripped.
Bill Bretherton

No great hurry. If someone can remember when next they are idly gazing at their underside.
And happen to have a tape measure handy.
GuyW

Delighted - if I ever get Cherry back. Aside from the holidays, we have had gales every day here, and the painter daren't cross the hills with her on a trailer, with a lashing tarpaulin.
Nick and Cherry Scoop

Here's the driver's side. I've no idea what the two elongated holes through the inner flange are, but I'll find out when I get there, and thought I might as well include them.

Sorry about the proportions.

Nick and Cherry Scoop

. . . haven't found the bits of wood yet (nor, in fact, the seats)
Nick and Cherry Scoop

Fortunately my interior is in total disarray and the wood strips are accessible. The dimensions are 38.3 cm long x 2.4 cm wide x .9 cm thick.

Thanks Nick,
Thanks Tim,

I just went and offered up my seat bases and those dimensions make sense on my floors. It also shows that those same hole centres will match the slotted holes of the fixed passenger seat base. I guess that is what one would expect to enable them to be assembled to the same fixing holes for both LHD and RHD cars
GuyW

"Just went and offered up . . . . " ???
What sort of heating do you use in your garage, Guy?
Nick and Cherry Scoop

Chuckle! No heating normally, but the garage is accessed by a door from the kitchen so popping out to check something like this doesn't involve too lengthy an expedition.
GuyW

I concur with Nick's 104, 112 and 445 dimensions for the rear holes. The front holes aren't drilled through on my shell so Nick is a useful reference!
Bill Bretherton

Those hole dimensions for the runner nearest to the transmission tunnel are the same as on my '71 car. :-)
GuyW

I think they all use the same dimensions for all the cars, The only difference is that the frog has captive nuts for all four seat bolts whereas the later spridget seems to have one captive nut and a stud on the runner.
