MG Midget and Sprite Technical - PDWA Valve

Has anyone had experience of running without the internals of the PDWA valve.
As I don't use it as a warning system it should really be of no use at all.
I am right or wrong?

If I remember It's meant to show the warning light if you have a pressure problem between front and rear brakes. And when you rebleed/ balance the brakes again it goes out. I don't run with the electrical connector and have it blanked off with a short bolt and a copper washer.

they are super easy to rebuild, and the switch is a common Ford part, so there isn't much need to do without it as a warning /safety device in case of brake failure:

However, if you run without the piston, and a seal over the hole where the switch went, it will work (but loss of braking at one wheel will result in loss at all 4).

By the way, the fluid never comes in contact with the switch, when the o rings are healthy, so a leak at the switch is just an indication that it is time to replace the o rings.

Just take the valve off completely and replace it with a 3 way brass union for the 3 front brake lines and a simple double female connector for the rear line.
