MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Piston type and info on movement
| Please see attached photo of the pistons as found fitted. I have removed the small amount of carbon etc with scotch brite. Are they standard? M2210 V52 is fitted to position 4 with the A to RHS of engine. This was the most fouled and there is a small amount of movement of the piston side to side - any direction. This is more than the others. Thought please A series Gurus!!! Dave

| Other cylinders marked as this one. M2210 W1 Piston ! has the A to the LHS. Does it matter? Cheers

| That V52 can't be in number 4 unless you have a 5 or 6-cylinder engine. There are other bores either side of it, so it must be no. 2 or 3. |

| Guy - correct you are. No 1 and 4 are the same as 2 except 1 is 180 out with A to LHS. Also more movement with no4 than the others - side to side. Dave |
