MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Radiator Dimensions

Could any one be so kind as to measure the width, height and thickness of a vertical flow and crossflow radiator for me please, I just need to know the actual radiator sizes not the mounting flanges etc.

Also the outside diameter of the hose mounting pipes.

I don't have any old ones around.

Many thanks

Martyn

Never know which one mine is...but it's a 1275
440mm wide
283mm tall
Inlet/outlet are 1"/25mm
Expansion is 8mm (or imperial equivalent)

Martyn, here are the dimensions of my 1275, crossflow radiator. These should be considered nominal and not exact! From side to side, to the inside of the tanks, is 14.25". From top to bottom, not including the mounting shroud, its 11 1/8". The tanks are not included because they are irregular shape. The tank is about 2 1/4" thick, the core about 1/2-5/8" less. Inflow and outflow are 1" OD and overflow is 5/16" OD. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the sizes, the top to bottom size you both give is the same but the side to to side (or width) is quite different - Jack's size is 362mm and David's is 440mm.

David, did you include the mounting flanges either side.

Cheers

Mine is widest part of outside of tanks....Jack's is just the core inside the tanks.

Thank you
