MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Replacing needle HIF 44
Chaps Think I am running out of steam a little at higher revs so will try replacing HIF44 BDL needle with BDK. Is this at all complex? Presume I just ensure guide is flush with base of piston, needle swings to front and do not lose the wee spring......... Cheers Mark

Hi Mark Exactly what you say.

Cheers Chris - just checking! Mark

BDK seems very rich, have you a BBW to try? What AFR readings are you getting? Peter

Peter. While you're focussed on HIF needles, is there much difference between BDL and BBW ? Graeme

Thanks Rob. Very useful.

Yes....superb website, very informative. BBW was my first choice, but the 35mm inlet valve size, semi ported head, LCB seemed to indicate it could take a BDK. As ever, I think trial and error is the name of the game - simple to changeout if I am wrong.... Cheers Mark
