MG Midget and Sprite Technical - RWA Hood recomendations
Hi all My wife has a late 1275 and needs a new hood for it. Anyone have a recomendation for a good quality well fitting hood? Have seen adverts from Moss, Prestige etc. Would the original have had a lighter interior colour? Do any of the replacement hoods have this as it would make the interior a lighter nicer place? Thanks Mark

Don Trimmings (Don Hoods) in Birmingham are highly recommended!

Consider a zip out rear window. Not original, but far more comfortable if the weather gets warm.

Mark, if Don Hoods still do their fitting service I'd recommend you consider it as they made a superb job on my previous Spridget personally I'd only recommend vinyl for a car that's actually going to see some use for the ease of maintaining appearance, cleaning and proofing

I fitted a dark green hood from Don Hoods. I was very pleased with the quality. They do quite a range of colours.

Did you fit that Tenax fitting where the velcro usually sits or did Don Hoods supply with this?

I bought a red vinyl hood from Don's Hoods with zip out rear window. I fitted the hood myself. Very very pleased with it. In hot temps on the continent it is a wonderful feeling. Hood up, windows down, rear window open, so breezy.

Easy to fit. The trick is getting a good hood without paying over the top for it. I bought one(unknown origin) from ebay. Vinyl not as good as the one I took off, but not too bad. Does anyone know what the Sussex hoods are like? Wasn't the best type, the original stuff used by BMC?
