MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Shorrock rubber pipe

Anyone else on here got a shorrock?
If so then you will know that there is a short rubber pipe that connects the outlet pipe on the supercharger to the inlet manifold. 3 inches or so long by about 2 inches in diameter. Do you know where I could source a new one as mine is getting a bit perished and I'm getting a strong petrol smell in the cabin when on full boost which is probably not a good thing to be going on....

Hi Simon

Perhaps something from a chandlers, such as rubber exhaust hose: http://www.gaelforcemarine.co.uk/36538/Vetus-Rubber-Exhaust-Hose.html?referrer=FROOGLE&gclid=CNLD4v-Rk74CFQcewwod7pYAhg I guess a metre is more than you need.

There was someone in the UK online advertising Shorrock spare parts (pulleys, but may know of where to get the part you want). Maybe try a message on the wanted part of the classifieds section of this website, or via a message to Martin Ingall via the comments section of www.sebringsprite.com (seen a few supercharged Sprites on there)

Is the bit part number 12?: http://www.shorrocksuperchargers.co.uk/documents/05_Technical_Data/Fitting_Instructions/Fitting_Instructions_A_Series/ShorrockSuperchargers_FittingInstructions_ASeriesEngine.pdf

Thanks for the replies. Mike, I will try Jon Peck at BCSC, but in the past I have had trouble getting hold of him

Apart from Samco silicone from Merlin Motorsport, the closest replacement is probably:
