MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Spridget Clutch Slave Cylinder
I have found some comments on the WWW about bleeding the slave cylinder - one that suprised me was the location of the bleed screw - which hole should it be in - the end of the cylinder pointing to towards the front of the car or the side pointing straight up ?
I got new slave cylinders from AH Spares and the bleed screw comes pointing towards the front - same as the one I got from Moss years ago when I built the car - I get the feeling that is the Mini location, not the Spridget location ? Can anyone confirm / deny ? Thanks |

Malc The bleed nipple should point upwards. I think it has been said in the past that it's only fitted like that for shipping. |

Update, so my slave cylinder is plumbed the wrong way around BUT it self bled last night !!! |

As air bubbles will slowly rise if left undisturbed, I guess they will rise to the upper connecting point. Usually waiting there to be released by the bleed nipple. But connected the wrong way round if there were no dips in the tube they could rise all the way back up to the master cylinder? |

Mini and Midget/Sprite clutch slave cylinders have the same part number but different locations for the bleed nipple. Rob |
