MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Suspension pickup data

Hi Guys, anyone know the dimensions for this drawing or any suspension pickup data.
All I have in any of my many BL/Haynes books is the view of a quarter elliptic which has the widths (r18-65317 or 65194), even in the later manuals.

I found the drawing on the net but cannot find any text anywhere to give the dimensions

There are some dimension for a slightly different diagram in the Workshop Manual. Oddly, they use a drawing of a 1/4 eliptic arrangement although the manual covers up to 1974 cars! The ones that are the same are the distances between the front inner suspension pivot bolts.

AA = 18 3/8"
BB = 18 3/8"

The main essence of the checks is the geometry, not absolute measurements. e.g the bolt holes CDEF on one side of the car need to be all on a straight line, and parallel to the set of 4 on the other.

The accurate checks are the pairs of diagonals AB and CF must be the same and the arcs shown on the drawing must all intersect on a single straight line down the centre. Using diagonals and arcs in this way is actually more accurate on any individual shell than absolute measurements because of manufacturing tolerances when they were assembled.

I attach a copy of the full page which lists the dimensions although some of the smaller fractions are difficult to decipher.

The transverse dimensions are shown in the workshop manual at R.18. See attached images:

And here's page R1.18

Thanks Peter, that's what I was after. I'd heard of the
chassis.htm site but when I tried it, it wasn't there I got a 404 error.
If you know of anymore details let me know I've measured mine as best I can but would like to be sure as I'm creating a cad model so we can mess with the suspension.
Thanks again Nik

Thanks, Nik

Yes. I couldn't get onto the website either, but fortunately I had kept a pdf copy. Unsure how I first got it, but suspect it was from a BBS thread; and if so thanks are also due to however posted it in the first place.
