MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Which ethanol proof hose to choose?

Sorry about this but 45 minutes of fruitless searching in the Archives (I must be doing something wrong as I know the info is there somewhere) for J30 R9 hose.
The 3 links below show seemingly similar but widely varying prices from £6.94 to £12.76 to £15.49 per metre

Which should I choose?

Gates barricade.

Or this.

Cohline hi-spec. rubber fuel hose. Cohline Type 2240 rubber fuel hose features FPM/ECO spec rubber making it 100% fuel proof, with Aramid braiding within the wall of the hose. Then ECO outer layer which is abrasion resistant.

Can withstand petrol, E15 rated flexible fuels, Ethanol, Diesel and Biodiesel fuels. Has a working temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.

DIN 73379.

Cheers A. Your second link is the same stuff (Cohline) as my second link so I'll give that a whirl and see how it fares.

I bought one of the kits from the VW air cooled supplier. The hose is supposedly good for 100% ethanol. It has been on the car for several years with no deterioration.

Thanks /mike, that looks goo too. Ironically I sold my air cooled VW last week!

Just to add, from my experience, get it from a good supplier. It seems that anyone can print J30 P9 on a bit of hose!

+1 to Guy's comment. Think Automotive should be a national legend for having, through their Mocal brand, virtually invented the oil cooler as we know it.

They also do fuel hoses and fittings and I would trust their recommendations.

I've been thinking about this and if E10 attacks brass, how will the brass olive and cone in the supply pipe from the fuel tank fare?
Daniel

Thanks Guy, Tom,

going to get it from here

My thinking is that a motorsport outfit should be a reasonable place to buy from as they exist by reputation? They seem to have good reviews on FB and Trustpilot - if only 4 for the latter.

Daniel, try superunleaded, in particular Esso as it contains either 0% or a maximum of 5% ethanol.
