MG MG Y Type - 2012 Run

See there is an application form for the UK Spring Run 2012 is on the main club site already.

Heads up for anyone interested, as not currently on Y Reg official site so far...Requests for a show of numbers by end year.

Link if required hard to keep up with three main places for Y Stuff:-

Thanks for the note Richard.

It's not an application form at this stage as I still have one or two matters to resolve. Chris Seward at the MGCC acted quicker than I had envisaged in posting it on the Car Club site.

Which is why it is not on either or the two websites devoted to Y Types - it will be in due course - and on the Bulletin Board,

It's an expression of interest in the Dinner as I am aiming to get 50 for that stage of the event. It also quotes the dates for the weekend which has been noted elsewhere.

Anyhow do please let me know once you have read the final version if you are (a) interested in attending the dinner on Saturday May 12 and/or (b) the run in the Forest of Dean on Sunday May 13.

You can e-mail me - jerrybirkbeck@btinternet.com for further details and your interest.

All the best

Jerry

Jerry,

Thanks, makes it clearer now. Always baffles me how things appear elsewhere other than where I would expect i.e Y Reg site & main club Microsite section, IMGYR, BBS and the MGCC Forum.

Good luck with your Spring Run! Are you doing a virtual in spirit entry?

I have not given that much thought though it does depend on numbers attending. I would hope that we get around 30 Y's (that's real and not virtual) attending. I will certainly give it some thought.

Are you going to attend the Dinner and the Event?

Thanks

Jerry,

Ok! No, not attending, I'm on mates stag night on 12th May and intend to drive my Y Type in France for several days in early May next year. With Olympics leave ban my year is already planned due to work restrictions.

Good luck and I do hope you make your target of 50 Y Types at the one event, maybe 2013 Scotland will achieve this, your organisation and dedication deserve to achieve this aim.

Regards

Jerry Will the Spring Run clash with the SW centre Wye Valley Run which starts at Symonds Yat, this is only a short distance from Goodrich, could be confusing with assorted MG's travelling in the same direction but turning off at different junctions or in opposite directions. Bryan

Thanks for that information Bryan.

I note on the SW Centre Website that this was on 16 May 2011 which I think was midweek. However, I will contact the SW Centre to establish if this is a regular event and whether it is a weekend or mid week run,

Peter Veilvoye was hoping to visit the area today and confirm a route with one of his friends.

Sincerely

Jerry
