David, hope you get well soon.

Is your mishap, like I think Paul's accident was, also DIY-related? (or should I say DIYT?)

I spoke with David's daughter last evening, he has had his op and according to Caroline 'he was happily mumbling under the effects of morphine' and should be out soon (a couple of days)

I suspect his recuperation will keep him out of the garage for a while, although he should be back on line soon.

Cheers

Andrew-

Do we have confirmation on his mumblings while under the 'effects'? Could be a drug-induced recollection of a transient review of an obscure MG archival text, which could answer THE question, what ever it is.

Again, speedy recovery and back to the garage.

Hi David

Very best wishes from Barbara & I - hope you are up & about again soon, if only indoors. Doesn't sound like the morphine did much - you mumble quite happily normally!

I was surprised when I came home and found that I had a number of messages and e-mails. Then I found this thread on the Bulletin Board and realised why. Thank you all for your good wishes they are very much appreciated.

My hospital stay was not as a result of DIY or indeed DIYT as Willem asked, but another problem that has been plaguing me for some time. It is fortunate that not only Y Types get restored but also occasionally Y Type Owners!!

Thank you all also for the weather reports around the globe. Clearly my recuperation would have been assisted by the temperatures that Rob, Richard and Alf are having ‘down under’. It appears that Sussex is still warmer than New England, although I suspect ‘cooler’ in Georgia is a relative term and it is still warmer than here.

Have a good Christmas wherever you are located and thanks again for your good wishes.

David.

Esperando de que Ud y su familia se encuentren en estos momentos sobrepasados el susto que representa el paso por el hospital y deseando que el año que empieza sea frctifero en todos sus deseos YT2625
J. LARUMBE BEASCOECHEA

Hopefully a translation of the above entry for Mr Beascoechea is approximately:
"Hoping that you and your family is exceeded the scare at the moment causeded the pass by the hospital and wishing that the year that begins is fruitful in all his desires YT2625"

A very beautiful wish. I believe David is recovering well and will probably also shortly post his thanks to you too for this entry.
