MG MG Y Type - Good boot lid on eBay

What appears to be a good boot lid is on eBay currently at http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=261054640396&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:GB:1123.

I have no financial interest in this item, neither do I know the seller.

Looks OK but at £150 I would much rather repair what I have. Each to his own pocket though.

Rather expensive Paul and requires TLC as the seller mentions, There was a far better one at MG Live (on the stand of one of the few traders still present on Sunday!) for £55 and a couple of doors at around the same price. However, I didn't need them and had little space available had I even thought of buying them!

Good spot though!

Who was the seller? I do not need anything but I know there are people out there that need parts for their car's rebuild so perhaps, if possible, you can post on this thread alternate choices that would be helpful.

As to this one, yes £150 is over the top, but it doesnt look too bad compared to some! Also, this seller is open to offers being made to him via eBay's Best Offer system I beleive.

Sorry Paul I didnt take any details which I ought to have done. He had two doors, a bootlid and from recollection a rear wing (?) and a poor radiator shell which he wanted £50 for.

I guess if anyone bought a programme the traders present may be listed in there.

Not much help!

All the best

Same seller also has listed on Ebay an MG y Fuel tank which appears in reasonable condition. $150 or best offer. To view, just click on Pauls link then view sellers other items.

Hi Jerry

Given your comments on the Silverstone meeting I am not surprised you didnt "slpash out" on a programme!

Maybe you could call Chris Seaward and describe the location to him and he could read some names to you which may ring a bell with you and you can get the details from him to post possibly?

Just a thought so we can all do what we can to help those in need. I hate to think of this stuff going to landfill.

Thanks Jerry

If you look closeley at the inside of the boot lid - bottom edge - you can see where a plate has been riveted over the rusted out area.
