MG MG Y Type - Interior wood - what is this?

I'm sorry for the upside-down photo, I can't for the life of me get it to rotate and then STAY rotated - it looks fine in the Downloads, but goes stupid after that.
Anyway: with the help of Jack Murray's wonderful "Renewing the Headlining" booklet, I've retrieved (from all over the garage) all of the headlining woodwork - the support pieces, the pieces to which the headlining is tacked, and the dress pieces which make everything look nice. I hope.
The batten in the attached photo I do remember taking off a few years ago (!) - I feel from the rear floor/seat area somewhere; I don't believe it's part of the headlining supports. BUT - before I make a rookie error, can anyone confirm where I took it from? - it measures 40 1/4 inches in length; and does not have any 90 degree angle when viewed from the end. It's also bevelled along one edge. Interesting.
I'll try and add a second photo.
All help gratefully received.
Yours,
John.

Hi John,
It looks a bit like the piece of wood that fits on the floor behind the rear seat. it supports the bottom of the fibreboard back panel between the seats and boot. how long is it?

Good lead, thank you John. I’ll run out in the morning and check. Also, thanks for the heads-up about a fibreboard panel between back of rear seat and boot area. I think I’d forgotten or never known that!
John.

Hi John,
approx 40" long.

John,
added info should have 3 holes in it, 2 3inches from ends and 1 20" angled side towards interior

Well done John, thanks for nailing it - if I'm right, the fibreboard will be sandwiched by the batten and the metal vertical flanges; the bevelled edge of the wood presenting a neat finish from the open boot. Of course it would help if I had not filled the mounting holes when assiduously coating everything with bituminous sealer about 2 years ago!
With thanks,
John Hall.
