MG MG Y Type - MG Y-type BBS

Just been looking back through the archive, see in early years lots of different names contributors, where have they/you all gone?
Cheer us all up with story what are Australia Y Types up to in Summer? any events? or what restoration jobs are winter owners up to in Europe?
To start it off, I've got some Brake work to sort on the YT, a YB to break up over XMAS and YB to do some minor odd jobs.

R E Knight

Why not offer the YB you are considering breaking to someone to restore? Surely Ys are past being broken up these days?
Save the Y!

Dave, bit far gone, be added to my parts reserve.
Nice update today on IMGYTR about Aussie event. Roll on summer in UK, we need some sun and dry salt free day. Seems age away since good drive in the YB.
R E Knight

R E Knight, Do you have available the rear seat side cards with the arm rests available from the YB you are breaking. I do not have any and would be grateful for some, otherwise I will have to make some from scratch which looks quite a job getting the sape something like.

Even if your cards are showing some wear it will give me something to work with.
Please e mail me on chrispick@hotmail,.co.uk

I see the one Brian flagged has been sold http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/140896916699 now. So hopefully Chris you were able to get them.

I gave a set of these away a while ago but I still have at least one elbow pad left if anyone needs that.

Thanks Richard for your e mail and thanks Brian for your link. I have now bought those off E bay which will save me a deal of time, effort and head scratching.
