MG MG Y Type - more of YA rear bumper

hi.
Just found out that the YA never had a rear bumper from factory, only a front one for cranking the engine manually. True?

The YA did not have bumper overriders, the YB did. Maybe that's a source for confusion?

BTW, how would one crank the engine with a bumper? ;-)

Must be a reference to the crank hole bracket as a steady for the crank handle.

Willem was suggesting that it would be kind of hard to use the front bumper to actually turn the engine over - his comment was tongue in cheek (see the ;-) at the end of his comment) as humor, not a serious question.
