MG MG Y Type - Radiator Cap

Who would normally stock a radiator cap for an MG Y? I need one and would even use a really decent used one...Thanks

Marvin-

Same TC/TD. Moss, Abingdon, ebay, etc. Bunch of guys on the BBS and classified from your area should have a spare.

Paul is correct - same as TC/TD so no problem of supply. Do ensure that you are getting a chrome on brass one though, and do also ensure that you get or have the rubber washer to go underneath it or you will loose all your water!

As for the rubber; use a vacuum cleaner belt cut down to size and glued, or not. Much cheaper than buying from the usual suspects.

Gilles - if you order your cap and rubber seal from Shadetree Motors (Skip Kelsey's old business) you will get 15% off all Moss prices - just quote the Moss part numbers - if you have already got a Moss TC/TD catalog this will help you for compatible parts. The cap is 202-010 (Moss price $54.95, SK $46.70) and the seal is 280-020 (Moss price $2.20, SK $1.87).
