MG MG Y Type - Window winders.
Folks, my interior handles are in fine original condition, apart from the obvious. Three are bent to the same degree, one remains straight. The bend is even, no kinks or creases - as though they "came like that". Were there actually any bent handles for other models, I wonder. The number on the back appears to be the same on all of them - H471/1. I would love to end up with 4 straight handles, but I understand it would be unwise to even try to warm and straighten them. Any views or experiences to share? John.

Hi John, I have a few spare handles that you are welcome to have. There are 3 straight handles and one banana handle. The finish on the handles is not perfect but will probably clean up ok. I can bring up to Gympie in a few weeks. Regards, Ewan

Thank you Ewan - sadly I won't be at the Gympie gathering, car not ready in time. I would like to follow up with you though - email address? Is there anything you need in case we can swap? John.

Hi John, here is my email. Whereabouts are you in QLD? Regards, Ewan

Up in the far north, Atherton Tableland, Ewan - no other MG restorers up here! But it's the warm subtropical climate that we enjoy. Plenty of spare bedrooms if you're up for a holiday. I'll email you about the handles mate. John
