MG MG Y Type - Y on a Tilta Trailer?

With apologies to overseas friends who may have never heard of a Tilta Trailer, it's a handy little Aussie brand useful for shifting vehicles up to 1200kgs. No ramps, you just tilt the tracks down, drive up, and as you pass the equilibrium point she tips down gently. If you drive gently.
You can adjust the tracks both for width and for fore-to-aft adjustment to suit the weight distribution of the car.
I've used mine perfectly easily with BGT and TD movements. When I put the Y on the Tilta, the weight distribution makes a difference;it's
the front to rear adjustment of tracks that's proving tricky. Tracks too far back and the car reaches the stopping point before the trailer is ready to tip; too far forward and she tips before the back wheels are on!The difference in track adjustment is only about 4 inches. I'm happy to keep experimenting - but has anyone here actually succeeded in using a Tilta to move a Y Type?
All advice appreciated as usual.
John.

I would suggest just get a bottle jack and a piece of wood (say 1 inch thick min - 2.5cm) that will stretch across the width of the rear of the trailer and use the bottle jack to lift the tail of the trailer up then lock it in place when you get level.

Unload, reverse the procedure using the bottle jack extended to then gently lower the trailer to ground.

Maybe that will work? IDK but just thinking the problem through.

Franz: very interesting comparison, thank you. Your German equivalent works on the same principle, looks to be more solid and refined ... yet is cheaper than mine would cost new!
Paul - good thinking, I thought of asking Joanne my wife to perch on the bonnet to act as ballast. She didn't take too kindly to the idea. Something about where I could stick my idea.
I'm creeping up on the correct setting of the tracks to suit the Y - the difference between "too far forward" and "too far back" is only about 6 inches, but it seems best to keep adjusting and trying in 2cm steps. Should be sorted tomorrow.

I have a similar issue - you can get ramps that are 300mm longer from Tilta to solve the problem, or simply use an 800mm lonk "plank" to transition from the ground to the ramp.

It just has to be long enough to get one back wheel on before the trailer tilts.

Ha! - quite right Tony, I used one half of my folding aluminium ramps, one on the end of each track of course, to enable the Y to get its back wheels up onto the tracks before the Tilta tilts! The back wheel being on the ramp means the tracks are initially pinned down, preventing the trailer from tilting too early. Job done - the Y moves on up to the tipping point, and "down she goes".
Thanks for the confirmation. Great minds, etc......
John.
The photo shows the "before" situation, with the Y weight behind the driver making it hard to adjust the tracks to reach s tipping point.
