MG MG Y Type - YB spark plugs

Why can we go back only 14 days on the search function? Such a short time makes it next to useless in my opinion as the chances of someone else asking the same or a similar question in the past fortnight is slim. Or have I missed something? I am simply looking for recommendations as to which spark plugs are suitable for a SC2 engine and feel I should be able to simply do a search for this.

If you are logged in you can go back and search ALL MG Y-type archived threads. Are you scrolling all the way down to the bottom of the screen using the right hand most of the two scroll bars on the right of your screen? There are two of them - one is for the BOX in which the BBS (and several other sub-routine programs) run and the other controls your total screen. The option is there

Ian, as technophobes go, I have to be tops. Six years I've had a smart phone and for the last six years, it's been too smart for me.

But I have found this forum very useful and when I can't find something that I need I give NTG a call, they know and specialise in the Y&T Type MG's.

You might be interested in The Manchester X-PAG Engine tests. It's here on this forum but to save you time here's the link

Close Robert :)!

If you check out the current news page we are now able to bring you the complete XPAG Files from Paul Ireland's extensive work and I have updated the links to now point to our new page of https://www.mg-cars.org.uk/imgytr/paulireland/paulireland.shtml. This something that is exclusive to the International MG Y Type Register and Paul has been very generous in allowing us access to all 13 parts of his research.

Dear Ian,
I have always found on this forum that if you ASK an open question rather than make a criticism, you will invariably get a positive response, either almost immediately from Paul Barrow or any number of other forum users within a short time.
Bearing in mind the relatively small number of our cars that survive, this must be one of the best informed and technically versed sources of help and information available.

The Forum is a discussion platform and in answer to a question such as, " what are the best plugs to use in and SC2 engine?", you may get a technical reference as in 'The Manchester X-PAG Engine tests' or a diversity of owner's personal experiences and preferences.
Please draw on the great benefits that are available through this forum and make the best of enjoying your MG YB, as I do.
Keith :)

PS I use NGK BP6HS

Don't understand two scroll bars on the right Paul, I only have one. Ian just click Archive or Search at the top of the screen. You can of course search all the T reg threads as well - menu - members.

A Ha got it, the two scroll bars are seen when when accessing from the International site. I have access on my Bookmark Bar which comes direct from MG Enthusiast.
