MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - Prince Philip has MG ZS180

Did anyone see Sundays News of the World??? Prince Philip has just bought a Blue MG ZS180, I can't type out the whole article, but apparently his body guards are a bit concerned as he insists on driving it him self. Another royal spoksman said its best to give him a wide berth...... maybe something to do with him being 80....is he the oldest MG ZS owner???

Neil

There is an older ZS owner!
82 I think, see Saftey Fast and the letters page of MGOC magazine to!!

Kelvin

Smart alec.....:-)
Neil Turner

I dont think that was his name! :-)
Kelvin

Is the Smart faster than the ZS Neil?

Ted
Ted Newman

"Is the Smart faster than the ZS Neil?"

Have I missed something???
Neil Turner

Not his first MG either, he had a T series in the 1940's, did some dating in it with some success!

Octanagarians (sp?) driving MGs. Does this mean that MG are stealing sales from Honda and Volvo?
Patrick

>Octanagarians (sp?) driving MGs. Does this mean that MG are stealing sales from Honda and Volvo?

Won't do a lot for the image will it!!
I wonder if there any younger 'celebs' driving Zs?

Kelv.
Kelvin

like Atomic Kitten for instance ? (see other thread).
David

Whatever his age,it might help to elect him as a Patron or President of the MGZS club ?
And to take some photos at the same time to show that, with all the choice in the world, this is what he
selected......to give himself a younger,sporting image perhaps ?
andrew K

Andrew...wah do you mean when you say this.... "Whatever his age,it might help to elect him as a Patron or President of the MGZS club"? There is no such thing....join the MGCC..or the MGOC!!! ANd the both have men who are quite good at doing their jobs running one of these clubs. No royalty here please!!!
cecil kimber

Yes,the ZS has more Horse Power than the whole Polo team,(if less than the old destroyers we had to handle),and goes a h*ll of a lot faster-maybe too fast for a person my age!
Philip

Ted, a mate of mine was driving at 110mph in Holland when a Smart came up on his tail flashing him to get out the way. So, maybe.
CK - are you a ghost writer?
Gareth

Gareth..or can I call you Dd?
Me? A ghost writer?...could be...now that would be spooky

PS nice to see you getting out of the flame wars occasionally
cecil kimber

Finally made the plundge today and traded in the Ford Cougar for a brand new MG ZS 120+ 5dr. Paid £11695 for the MG - prereg'd on the 31st of Dec - who cares I have a private reg - big saving of 2400ish. Got 7500 for Cougar.

Happy to be back in the MG Rover fold
Rob

Perhaps we could ask His Royal Highness Prince Philip
(message above),to send a picture of himself & his MGZS
to the two car clubs mentionned by Cecil Kimber ?(not to be used for publicity purposes of course)
Tony

If the MGCC and the MGOC write to my Private Secretary, perhaps we can get them some photos.
Philip

Wow, Silverstone is going to be great this year.

Look forward to seeing Phil, Liz and Atomic Kitten propping up the bar and downing a few OSHs.

Andy

Cue Rob Bell, isn't it about time we had another of your famous cartoons.........

Andy

Andy,
Please don't bring in the other members of the Royal family or you might wreck the whole effort !
PS BTW They like corgis not kittens
