MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - Tyre wear?

Got 18k out of my first set of Pirelli P Zeros

Replacement set was £220!
I have stayed with Pirelli & I've been happy with level of grip..

We also got around 18k on our last ZS's P Zero's. Fitted new ones then sold the car 2 weeks later. Now at 7k we don't think that the new ZS tyres will last for 18k.

driving like it was designed to be.... i've got 12k from the mitchilins, loads of grip to start with but they loose it very quickly, too soft for me, going to buy Pirelli's next i think.

Replaced the front Pirellis at 10k with the rears about 30-40% worn. Will now wear out the set and replace with a different tyre since I would prefer more grip in the cold & wet. Hopefully either Toyo Proxes-T1S or Goodyear Eagles F1s will be available by then.

i hav'nt changed my originals yet i swaped rear for front at about 18k now done 25k and the front are down to about 2mm from the min marker, i expect to need 4 new ones at about 30 - 32k which are best??

front michs gone at around 9k driving it the way it was setup for :-) I have Kuhmos on at the minute which were very cheap but to be honest I cannot fault them even when pushed hard they grip very well, especially in the Wet when I would say they probably out perform the Pirelli's from the reports I have read on them.

I don't envisage any great wear out of them tho' they were only £65 each.

Next time as Steve I will probably go for Toyo's

DAVE LOOKING AT THE WEAR ON YOURS MATE YOU SHOULD HAVE HAD A R45 AS YOU OBVIOUSLY AINT USING THE ZED TO EVEN A 1/3RD OF ITS POTENTIAL :-)
