MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - Tyre Wear ZT190

Just bought new tyres for my ZT 190 I kept the Pilots which were fitted as new (£168 per tyre if anyone is interested).

I have had a problem with tyre wear on the outside edges of the o/s/f and n/s/r tyres which I mentioned at the last service to be told the tracking was ok and the power steering aos to blame.

My new tyres are 500 miles old and I have noticed the same wear problem again.

Has anybody had problems with the tracking or tyre wear on diagonal corners of the car.

Known problem, discussed at length on the Yahoo Groups R75/MGZT forum. Search the archive:

Seamaster, the link seems to be faulty, but I gather that the alignment must be set with a full tank of fuel.
FWIW.

NSR Tyre wear on the outer edge is commonplace for some reason - an alignment issue.

Perhaps the factory should have their alignment kit calibrated?

That link works fine here, but it may be because I am a member.

If you go to Yahoo Groups and search for the group called "Rover75MGZT" you will find all the info you require in the archive.
