MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - XPower ZT385/400

Is there anyone on the BB who can honestly say that they have ordered a ZT385/400?

The reason I ask the question, is if you have when do you expect delivery of your ordered monster? My belief is next Oct/Nov at the earliest.

Why am I asking? It is a long story, but it affects what I run until delivery time of the ZT. Posted something on a thread at my other Forum on whether I should buy a ZS180 or BMW330d , which explains all!

Hey mate, I've already heard that the X80 is delayed to the 4th QTR 2002. So what hope of a the ZT have you got?

Go to an intermediate position and look for Spring 2002 with the ZT 260.

That's a fair comment - Kernahan have said the same.

But I've set my heart on the ZT385. I don't think I could live with the 75 for another year, it is very good at what it does, but I'm finding it very boring!

I have resenty gone half's with a mate on a TVR 350i. Why not try somthing like this while you wait for the ZT?

Love TVR's but I don't think I could put up with a breakdown truck following me everywhere!

Well - the choice will be made tonight.

Either a Ralliart EVO VII or

ZT190+ from Kernahan (ex-dem). Their EVO VII has been sold.

Point is if I buy the VII, I won't buy the ZT385. So it looks like a ZT, just hope it's more fun than the 75!

Not a BAD choice Jerry. Funny you should say it but my mate Roy had the TVR this weekend and we found this morning a bad misfire (traced to no7 lead).

I have never driven any of the really sharp Japanese cars (EVO, Imprezzas(sp?)). I have however driven the ZT 190 and the 75. The ZT is a very much sharper, firm car with much better performance than the 75. I urge you to try the ZT!

I will on Saturday be the proud owner of a 75 Tourer with 17" wheels that will be a lot sharper than the 75 Saloon but suspect not close enough to the ZT 190. It will however have every sodding luxury so lady wife will see it as a sensible choice and a fair replacement for her 200!

Cheers

Patrick

PS Really bugger all these big decisions on how to spend ones dosh!
