MG MGA - Anti Roll Bar

I have been offered an MGB anti roll bar.

Will this fit on my MGA if I mount it underneath the Front Chassis Extension...?

Will it make a significant difference ?

Is it an easy fit ?

Thanks

If it's a real MGB bar, yes, it will fit. Make the links about 3" to miss the steering rack. If it's a reproduction, it might be a bit too wide. If so, the steering arms will hit on hard turns.

Like MAndrus (Mitchell?) says,
fitting an MGB anti-roll bar to the MGA is a straight forward process, the only difficulty is that shortening the links involves cutting a section out and re-welding the ends in the correct orientation.

When I fitted mine I entrusted the welding to an expert as my welding skills are a bit suspect.

You will need to check the front wishbone arms to see that they do have the reinforced section with the large hole in it to fit the balljoint on the end of the link rod.
Moss sell these and they seem to fit well.

I fitted a 3/4" anti-roll bar to my MGA and it really does improve the handling, the car responds even better to the steering and stays really flat around the bends.

So it is well worth the effort.

Works in the original position above the extension, as well.
