MG MGA - CSR door seals LH/RH?

The instructions for Todd Clarke's door seals state that there is a left hand and a right hand door seal. I can't tell them apart. And, it seems that either door seal I have fits correctly (rubber out) on each side of the car. How do you tell LH from RH door seal?

Thanks!

George,
They are the same. Not handed.

Look for position of the pre-assembled metal clips on the Clarke Spares parts. Lay the two seals side by side for comparison of position of the clips. Then switch ends with one of them, and compare again. Installation instructions tells where to start and finish with the installation. The metal clips should NOT end up in a corner. George,
Barney is correct (as usual) but since you are doing a coupe, I'm not sure it matters. You should also install the fur flex door seals before the rail carpet since the carpet is supposed to cover the flange and screws of the stainless steel door Seal Retainer Strips.

Thanks Jim, Barney. I understand the instructions regarding the clips, no problem with that. Jim, I thought the same thing, i.e. they are not LH/RH seals. Don't know why his instructions say that. I had emailed Todd and his response didn't clear it up for me.

I think I figured out what the LH/RH in the instructions means. It pertains to the roadster only. If you start with the "finished end" of the door seal at the top end of a roadster door opening, and wrap around the opening, then only one of the CSR seals will have the rubber out, which is correct. The other seal will then allow for the same on the opposite door opening. For the coupe, which I have, it doesn't matter since the instructions start the seal at the bottom of the door opening, in the middle. You can then go around to the left or to the right, doesn't matter. I sure spent a lot of hours in the garage with this one!
