MG MGA - duct pipe location

Hi all can anyone help me with a pic or drawing of where the large intake ducts are secured forward of the radiator and down onto the panel behind the grll

Gordon, If you have the original duct panel (ie between the radiator and the grille) there will be holes where the (flat mild steel about 22g?) "P" clips attached the trunking to the panel. The clips were at the front end of each of the two ducts which in turn were on the outboard side of the clips in each case.
Barry Bahnisch

Hi Barry I believe it is the original panel and does have two vacant holes to go along with the vacant headed driver

thanks gordon

It's difficult to get a tape measure to the holes in a running car. However, having just come out from underneath my car with torch and said ruler, the holes that you have identified should be approximately above the chassis extensions, about 4.5 inches from the front (measured from underneath). That of course assumes mine are original and I cannot be certain. Puts you in the right ball park, if nothing else.

Steve, that must surely be difficult, why you have to do it in a running car I'm not sure; be better to park up and switch off first.

Gordon, I have an original panel in my restoration(together with a spare original nose section) neither running anywhere soon if you need any more measurements or pictures.
