MG MGA - Flex pipe support

When I made my battery box I put the rear hose support where it is in the picture, but I'm not sure it is quite right. There is a lot of "exposed" brake pipe and the flex pipe is a bit close to the shock arm. Also, the parts page shows a clip to frame for the pipe, which I can't locate. Should I move the support bracket a bit further back up the battery box stay? Also does the brake pipe run above or below the handbrake cable?

Sorry, forgot to post the pic.

Hand brake cable should have a short standoff tube on the P-clip bolt to lower it all a bit from the battery carrier. Steel brake pipe then goes above the cable, secured to the same bolt with another P-clip.

The hose end bracket should be welded higher and farther forward on the battery tray side bracket. See pictures here: http://mgaguru.com/mgtech/restore/rt120.htm

Got holes for the battery holding J-bolts yet?
Do not route the brake pipe under the front spring mount, or any other place that may be a hoist lifting point or jacking point.

Although I made new battery trays on mine the support brackets were original including the hose bracket. Here is a picture ................Mike

Sorry Art I can't upload the photo as the file is too large -- I'll send it to your e-mail address.

Thanks both. I've undone the hose junction and I'm moving it back and up. The handbrake clip I put in a non-standard place so I'll make another frame support for the pipe.
Ssupplementary question - front R pipe. I just figured out how the PO had it. It goes under the frame and back to the 4 way, but it enters the 4 way using the LH outlet. The Moss pic shows it connecting to the front of the 4 way, but it seems better the way he had it. Which is right? Could not find this pic in your site Barney.

Art,

Here is a picture of what I hope is the correct routing and attachment points for the brake line, hand brake and battery cable.

Not quite. I thought the 4 way was installed so the pipes come out for/aft or L/R. this one is at 45 deg!

Art,

Here is a close up of the rear brake line and hand brake cable with the stand-off in between the clips. My guess is that the stand-off is no more than 3/16" wide.

Thanks John.
