MG MGA - Front shroud repair panel

Hi Folk:
My car has a badly bent and poorly fixed front shroud. I have an original clip for this piece that is badly rusted but unbent. It could be fixed and used with a lot of work.
Has anyone used the front shroud repair panel from Moss or Vic Br. lately and do they fit? Or am I better to use what I have? Also is there any alternate suppliers?
All opinions and comments welcomed . . .

John;

Do you have a good "Panel Beater" in your area. If you do, check to see what is needed to get the original in good shape, then balance it against the cost of the new panel. It may be cheaper to fix the original... you never know.

The cost of the getting the panel fixed is greater than the cost of the replacement part that I can weld in my self - that is if it actually fits. If I buy the panel and then have to have the panel beater fix it the cost just keeps getting higher and higher.

Hi All:
I guess that Moss has not sold many Front Shroud repair panels in the last couple of year since I have not had an answer to . . .

Has anyone used the front shroud repair panel from Moss or Vic Br. lately and do they fit?

John,
I had to replace the front shroud and the radiater duct panel from my MGA.I ordered them from Mickey Metal in the UK(sports car metal works). The duct panel was a perfect fit, the shroud was a bit to wide but the curvature and the space for the grill was perfect.Nevertheless a lot of work to get a perfect fit.

I also used the Sportscar Metalworks panel:

Less than half the price of the Moss part. I took the view that I should expect to have to do some adjustment to every repair panel in order to get a good fit and perfect final panel alignment. This panel needed very little. I found that where I could compare, the parts from sportscarmetalworks.com were of similar or better quality than the copmpetitors. Not only that, but they were, in all cases, of a lower cost. In addition Mick, Michael Beakhouse (AKA Metal Mickey) was a great guy to do business with.

Thnx Guys just the info I needed
