MG MGA - Grill Release Info Needed

I need help in finding two links to grill quick release approaches that I just can't seem to find.
The first is by Steve Gyles...its not on his jack database webpage but I'm sure I saw it somewhere.
The second is by "unknown" contributor...I think it was on this BBS, his idea was to slot the heads of some of the bolts to allow for grille removal in the case the release latch doesn't work.
I would like to review the details of these.

Thanks much,
George

George

I took my MGA website down on a pure cost basis. However, after a request by Colyn I embedded it in my jack database site behind the contact me button.

I hope this works: http://www.classic-british-car-jacks.uk/MGA%20Roadster/Radiator_Grill_External_Release.htm If not, hit the contact me button here and scroll down: http://www.classic-british-car-jacks.uk/

I’ve used the slotted bolts solution. Works a treat and keeps the grill properly fitted up to the body as designed. The bottom bolts remain accessible from underneath the bottom panel as normal. The top three bolts are slotted at their threaded ends with a hacksaw and screwed in from the inside, well greased to keep them rust free, and not over-tightened. The slotted ends are then accessible from the outside through the grille slats when required.

Hi George

Go to Barney’s BD-101D and scroll down to the last picture which shows slotted screws. However, the slot is in the threaded end of the screws so they can be driven up and out by a screwdriver inserted between the grille slats.

The simplest solution.
