MG MGA - looks good

Hi all this one seems like a very reasonable price for a tidy A

It does look a decent car for that price. Only a few photos, but if the write-up is correct then I guess that the rest of the car is pretty good. Judging from previous adverts you would expect the asking price to be at least 5k more.

In your bracket? Quick buy and sell and make a decent profit.

It looks a good car for the price - but photos don't always show the truth - my car looks concours in photos!!

Value or condition is all speculation. I wouldn't pay half that much without a first hand inspection of the car. Three selected beauty shots (of unknown age) does not equal good car. Older "restoration in the 90's" does not specify "body off", and a little humidity in storage could rust out the body sills as it sits. There may be a reason why the engine bay photo is blurred, definitely not concours original. Would love to see even one photo of the undercarriage. Anonymous advertiser, unknown seller, send email just to ask location of the car.
Barney Gaylord

Its now marked as sold.

I am still short of knowledge (as is Barney/Clausager/Bob West et al) on the chassis changeover number from the Shelley jack LJ23 to the King Dick (bow tie) jack shown in the advert. All we seem to know is that some 'early' MGAs had the LJ23. Put your detective hat on and find us the answer please!!

Hi Steve that's easy it was no 20677 in sept 1956

Blimey Gordon, where did you get that one from? Is it verifiable? I have been asking that question for the past 2 years!

Your gotcha almost became fact, such is the power of the internet. Do you also write intelligence assessments for MI5?
