You will appreciate this run always used to go from Brooklands which is great but you never got the time on the day to go round. You can do this on the MG Era day 10th April - see you there...
You have to do this run at least once; its usually split into two separate runs to ease the traffic. You'll see Epsom Downs, where the Derby is held, great views and then the lovely Surrey/Sussex countryside on the way. You park for free on Brighton's Marina Drive, where at other times of the year you can see the Speedtrials in September and the Veterans running in from London in November.
Just do it. Not sure how numbers are nowadays, but it used to be over 700 MG's, which looked fantastic before the start on the Brooklands Banking.

Thanks Pete. Done Brooklands a number of times so no problem there. My son works for Sony HQ which is co-located. As it happens I am meeting friends there next Friday, then a spot of lunch in the brasserie at the new Brooklands Hotel. Taking the MGA of course!

As an aside, my late Mother-in-Law used to time keep at Brooklands in the 30s. This is one of the photos she took.

Hi Steve

If you have more Brooklands pictures like that I shall be happy to publish them on www.PreWarCar.com

You may upload them yourself or send them to me and I'll do it for you.

Hi Rutger

How is the elbow?

I have one other, albeit similar, Brooklands photo. I will email them both to you. I also have a few of my late Father-in-Law in his 3-wheeler Morgans (wish he had kept them). Any use to you?

Cheers

Steve, Went on the Regency Run from Brighton to Brooklands some years ago when we took our Australian MGA roadster to the UK. Over 400 entries, marvellous day, something that we in Oz can normally only dream about! Even went up the Test Hill! Hallowed ground, I will die happy!

Hi Steve

Elbow getting better, but slowly, very slowly :-(

And yes, I'm always interested in your photographs

Rutger

Emailed you a few piccies.

Took the MGA up to Brooklands today on a nostalgia trip. Good wander around. Also watched Mercedes cars on their testing track, followed by an excellent lunch in the Brooklands Hotel - recommended. I might have been mistaken, but it looked like the Maclaren F1 boss, Martin Whitmarsh, at the next table. If not, it was a close lookalike.
