MG MGA - Removing the 1600 rotors

I'm doing a complete restoration on a 1600 (69414) with wire wheels and it's been going pretty smoothly. I'm nearing the end of stripping the chassis down needing only to remove the front suspension. My problem is I can't figure out how to remove the rotors. I can't figure if I need to remove the wire wheel hubs first. Does the rotor and hub come off as one unit? I tried to remove the castlated nut from the end of the steering knuckle but the walls of the hub prevents removing the cotter pin holding on the nut. I feel sure I am overlooking something really simple.

Must remove the split pin. That's what the hole in the side of the hub is for - good luck with that!
A pair of good diagonal cutting pliers will grab the pin and lever it out.
Remove nut and pull the hub, them remove bolts & nuts holding the disc.

An impact gun (wrench) makes things much easier when removing rotor from hub.

Many thanks. Once I dug through the grease and found the holes in the hubs, the cotter pins slipped right out and the castlated nuts followed. But a gentle tapping wouldn't slid the hub off the wheel bearing. Do I need to get a BIG wheelpuller and try to pull off the rotors? I would think pulling across that width would bend the rotors and not develop the force to pull the wheel bearing off the steering knuckle. Is that the correct procedure? (Disk wheels are so much simpler.)

Joe, use the hub spinner with a spacer behind it to pull the hub off. (I Think...)

Joe-
Wheel bearings are just a snug push fit on the spindles, or should be. Smack the disc from the back with a plastic hammer usually works. If not, then use the knock off as a puller with appropriate spacers, but I don't think I've ever had to resort to this on an MGA.

Clean up the spindle with a fine cut flat file to remove any bumps and lumps, polish with a abrasive strip. As I said, the bearings should be a push fit on the spindle.
