Nice one Barry,

"...try and buy one of these today..."

Makes you wonder, you'd think people would check! Hope he didn't buy it at a silly price thinking it was rare!

...Oh yes he did!

Ah, but it is an "original" one isn't it?

Moss List $36.95 US
R J Brown

I would have thought that A$66.00 was about the right figure. If Moss US sell for US$36.95 (a cheap Chinese copy), thats about A$42 plus postage to Oz. What the winner would have got here was a good (probably brass based) original heavy plated item. Sometimes you have to pay "good" prices for original items, especially chromed ones...look at the quality of repro bumpers, grills etc. nowadays...not good!
Gary Lock

Sounds nice Gary, I have three originals sitting in my shed!

it just gets better

Rats! I sold one of those rare things on eBay for £10.51 in Jan '09 (and it went to a Twin Cam owner)! It's one thing sticking it on eBay with a starting price of 200 bucks, it's another thing to sell it for that price.... but stranger things have happened at sea!

Isn't the Aussie Dollar one of those currencies like the Lira.... Lots of zeros but no real noise????

I'll get hell for that on Saturday!

This one is very rare. Can't have been many made in 1955:

That's why it's so rare. Not many CDs made in 1955.
Mike Parker

I might ask the seller a few questions to see if its off an early prototype 1500... lol....Bid $200 buy now $350.

It clearly says 55 years old..1955.
