MG MGA - Shelly jack question

Does anyone have an original handle/bar for the Shelly jack for a MkII? I am interested in knowing how long it is and what color it is. I have seen many of these jacks in books articles and in person but have never seen a handle for one. These little guys must be very shy.

I have a bit of information on Shelley jacks, but sadly not on the handles. As you rightly observe they are not that common.

Barney has a good picture of his Shelley jack and it appears to be resting on its black handle. Perhaps Barney can advise if its the original handle and, if so, post the details.

I have a one-piece handle that I couöd measure. It's not the same as an MGA one, but came with my perfect $15 US Shelley Jack.

Seems a lot of people are looking at the Shelley Jacks on my link above. I have just had someone asking for information about the MG PB jack (A6) I have listed. Any one of you MG fleet owners got a PB or other MMM that I can fire a few questions at off forum?

Many thanks

I guess finding an original bar is not going to happen to get some measurments. Could anyone take an educated guess how long these bars are? I am guessing about 16" or so.

Sorry to steal the thread (very slightly) but just seen another Shelley LJ225 on USA Ebay. Looks like the seller has not picked up all the numbers correctly, but what is interesting is yet another style jack cradle for the 225. I wonder what car this one came from: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Shelley-Vintage-Car-Jack-Jaguar-Triumph-MG_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em122QQcategoryZ35624QQihZ010QQitemZ200232859054QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD2V

I owned a 1961 MGA purchased when it was 6 months old; It had a useless red Shelly jack & I think the bar was also red & very short;

There is a supplier on US Ebay currently advertising a Shelley LJ225 for the MGA MkII. He notes that the handle is black and 12 inches long.

Attached is a picture of my LJ225 jack and its handle. The handle is 13" long to a 45 degree or so bend, then a further 1.5"
