Despite my warning about the fees and charges that Paypal will deduct from any monies sent to me, I have been shortchanged on almost every sale.So please, when sending money, take in to account all the deductions that Paypal will make and ensure that I receive the correct amount in Pounds Sterling.I have enough to do with all the work involved with this venture without having to email each individual to say that they have not sent enough money.
Sorry about the whinge,
Steve A.

Steve...Your comment re PayPal is of interest. I use it frequently but I have to say only in one or two situations ..
When I do not know the seller (eg it is a small company/individual used for 1st time ) or the quality of the product.
It is good to be able to delay payment by a month as an option or get a reasonable chance of money back ( used latter about 4 times over last 8 years with 100% success ).
It is a good system in the right circumstances ie it minimises risk..but they take their pound of flesh i.e. you pay for the insurance. For me it is a bit of an overkill to use with yourself.
Many thanks for the set you sent me many moons ago...

Steve, -- If you could post an example list of all fees that have been charged on these transactions it would help. The buyer is not always aware of fees charged on the seller's end.
Barney Gaylord

Believe these are the fees he's complaining about:

https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/paypal-fees

If he's selling at cost and then having to pay these fees because the customer is using a credit card to pay, he's losing money.
Gene Gillam

More money sent. It would have been clearer if you had specified to use the Paypal "gift" option (fees automatically paid by sender), or specified an amount for use if paying by Paypal, inclusive of fees.

GENE
Thanks for the info on the Paypal fees website,I am sure all buyers can make use of it when calculating how much to send.
DEL
I had no idea that you could send money as a "gift"and not be charged.

I have received very little response from buyers who have already given me their orders and, as I have previously said,If I havn't had their payment by today, I will be away for a month so will be unable to post until my return on the 13th Oct.

For those using PayPal, there is a hidden feature that saves a LOT by avoiding the very poor Paypal exchange rates.

In the Confirm your order page in PayPal there is a little link by "Funding Source" called "change". By choosing your card instead of PayPal rate you get billed in the original currency, which is then converted using your card exchange rate, which is typically many percent better than the PayPal rate. But as most people don't know this, and it is not available in the tablet screen, most get ripped off repeatedly by eBay and PayPal.

Dominic..now that is great info...many thanks for advising.
