.... and at 8pm on Channel 5, there's Classic Car Rescue, featuring an MGB GT! Robert

Thoroughly enjoyed the Magnificient Machines programme. Speechless about the earlier MGBGT rebuild fiasco. Steve
Steve Gyles
Hmmm. I watched the one on MGB GT restoration. Very dissapointed - thought it a joke. Suddenly a complete rust bucket turned into a shining car, hardly showing what was done. If only it was that easy. It did make me laugh that in a complete restoration they made such a fuss over changing the rocker cover!

.......and the "2 innovative horizontal straps" that were the rear springs! Steve
Steve Gyles
I forgot about those innovative straps. The only thing worthwhile about that programme was to see what a nice guy Peter Edney seems to be.
Graham M V
Graham Yes I agree about Peter Edney. I wish MGA spares were as cheap as those MGB spares he sold! Nice workshop setup. His dad was a big name in T-Type racing. Steve
Steve Gyles
Hi Graham Yes Peter is a nice guy- He fitted my 5 speed box to the MGA -knowledgable and not expensive Paul
