MG MGA - Twin Cam on eBay

Gorgeous car, but what's up with those seats? I think I threw up in my mouth a little.

Twin cam engine is included, but not installed, wonder why?

Looks like the emergency brake doesn't work as evidenced by the block of wood keeping the car from rolling.

I am more intrigued by the double windscreen. Interesting bit of engineering, or is the original screen just resting in place? I suspect so.

Looks like they set the original screen up so they could show the side screens in place. I'm pretty sure it's just sitting in front of the competition screen which is installed into the windshield mounting holes.

I can't imagine one could drive the car that way, but I've been wrong before. It does look like the mounting legs have been cut off the standard windshield.

Anyone know the chassis number?

I've asked vendor but no reply yet and it's aparently appeared on ebay before.

The twin cam heater unit with no hose fitted must make for really good heater output, ideal if you like your fresh air with more than a hint of petrol and engine oil fumes!

A Twin cam like this one, fitted with an MGB engine would probably be my ideal MGA, I could enjoy almost all of the twin cams performance advantages yet still be able to set the points and the tappets in less than half an hour!

I could then put the incredible twin cam engine in the centre of my living room just to look at and admire!

Maybe then concentrate on trying to win the National Lottery so as to be able to afford to rebuild and re install it!

Or more sensibly perhaps, keep with the MGB engine and just put up with the fumes coming in through the heater vents!

Got just the thing for you Colyn!

L, I just love it!

Looks like it has 4 more cylinders than your normal twin-cam but only a single camshaft which is a pity.

The only thing I dont like about it is the fact that there are four empty wine bottle spaces!

Thanks L
