MG MGA - Tyre Size
Nearing the end of my resto on my 58 Roadster and I want to stick some decent tyres on it. I have 15" wire wheels - 60 spoke. What size tyres should I go for ??

I put Firestone F-560 on mine 155R15 82T. I bought four about 3-5 years ago (too soon) and a spare quite recently. In the intervening period the price had gone up considerably, two to three times I think, because Firestone only make them now in special runs. I would probably choose another make today although the tread does look very period........................Mike

Note the 165's will only just fit through the front of the boot with a struggle. The tyre and wheel must fit right in to support the folded hood correctly. Pete

Or more commonly available now are 165/80R15, which are pretty much identical to 165R15 and are much cheaper. I just bought four for my car for the equivalent of 60USD each here in Switzerland.
