MG MGA - who's going to the big autojumble at the place I c
Hi all anyone here going gordon |

should read at the place I can't spell lol gordon |

Hi Gordon, I can't spell it or say it either. Are you taking your MGB to sell? or just buying tools? lol. Her indoors isn't keen so may not get a pass out this time. On a positive note she has agreed to have an MGB GT automatic as her new car! (she won't drive a manual) So I'm on the hunt for a good one. |

Gordon If its Beaulieu (I can spell it), take your wellies or may be even your flippers and snorkel. It will probably give Glastonbury a run for its money this year! Unfortunately I cannot make it this year. Have fun Steve |

Hi Neil can't you convince her to have a roadster and fit an auto box, I know where there is one lol, ahhh tools I have been told that all the tool chaps are taking every MGA tool they can find just for me Hi Steve yes it is that place , taking wellies and a rubber boat lol gordon |

Gordon, I am going on Saturday but don't worry, I am not looking for tools or MGB parts. MGA, Morris Traveller and Series 2 Land Rover only! Steve, did you see that LJ jack go for £87 recently? Or was it you selling? Sorry you won't be there. Shane |
Shanerj |
Shane Yes, it was an LJ22. It went for £87.20 on 31 August. An LJ21 also went (22 June) for £87. I will be doing a Shelley Jack price update on my site over the weekend. I spotted another seller quoting words from my site. Fiction will soon become fact! If you want to do some Shelley Jack spotting at that place that Gordon can't spell (try copying and pasting), look out for a Shelley A6. It is for the MG PA/PB and one went recently with handles for £293. Steve |

Gordon, I didn't identify you there, although I did see someone having some banter with a stallholder about 'car jacks'. Bought little to take away, although the Commander-in-Chief home is a bit worried about the lathe arriving some time this week... Steve, Spotted an LJ11 and a number of other jacks but none with handles. No MGAs for sale in the Automart (that must be a first) so no temptation there. Had a grovel on a stall which had a selection of diffs but the mental block kicked in and I couldn't recognise which was which. With a MGA 1500, a Morris Traveller and a series 2 LR, I had a good chance of getting something useful but might not get it past the doorkeeper. Muddy ground but nice weather overall. Ho Hum, Shane |

Hi Shanerj , I was there on Sat. Not me with the jacks though was in discussion over the purchase of an original tool roll, empty I should add, but it was too rich for me, only purchases were a jeager oil/water temp guage for the A and a rev counter for the B, it was very soft under foot, there was a very poor A in the Bonhams sale I don't know if it sold it had door gaps big enough to walk through gordon |

Was at Beauleau also on Saturday, it was nice weather on top but soft underfoot. Managed to line up a water/oil guage rebuild as mine is showing a constant tepid level (which it of course is not). Also got a correct starter motor as mine has been "upgraded" sometime in the past to a bigger one that means you need to remove the oil filter to get it out!! Had to replace the brushes the other day and so thought I would line up the right unit for the time it goes bang again!! Did not spend much time looking at whole cars as I was on a tight schedule and budget due to a) Eurotunnel being closed and b) flying to Tokyo where I am writing this from. Did see some real junk though!! Neil |

Shane I don't suppose you took a photo of the LJ11? Not come across that one before. Steve |
