MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - 2004 West Coast British V8 meet

Hey folks!

I am begning work on setting up a special event at Portland international. I need to find out how many people would be interested in having an open track day at the facility. This would be ROAD COURSE and Drag strip. I am thinking a 1/2 day of each hopefully with lots of time on each for everyone.

Renting the facility for the day is not cheap though, so I need to get an idea of the turnout to see if the per person pricing will be feasable for everyone.

I am working on this for spring/early summer 2004, as the track is booked for 2003.

Due to the high cost of reserving the facility for a day, this would also be coordinated with the local Mustang groups as well as all the local British V8 folks. So should be lots of fun with lots of fast cars. I am also considering opening it up to other non-British V8 cars, but my personal love of mustangs puts this group on top of the list of additions.

LET ME KNOW!!! I need to get rolling on reserving a spot, but I will not do that unless I see an adiquate turn-out.

I am not asking you to book it, and give me a garrantee, but just a good faith idea of how many people would want track time, so I can look at feasability. If I don't hear allot of interest I will likely back out of the hunt and let the meets stay back east for now.

Larry,

I would be interested in just a car show. I don't care about seeing how fast my MGAV8 will go.I know it's fast enough for me. It would be nice to have a show north of Seattle to get away from all the traffic. Marysville WA. has a nice park that I've been to car shows at before.

Larry, That is a great idea. Count me in. The location would be good for the Ca crowd. You know mine is a V6. I am anxious to compare the overall performance to V8's. Maybe you could call the gathering "Super Bee's" or something of the sort?

Count me in. I should have the V-8 {302} done by then. If not I will still have the V-6 I completed last summer. I will have to meet you somewhere on I-5 and show you the finished project. It looks a lot better with the stock hood.

The plan is to do this as part of a West Coast British V8 meet. HOPEFULLY, but time will tell.

Count me in! If you could have it after school is out, for those of us that have kids. That would be great.

I'd like to go, I don't know how the car will feel about that, should be done by then though. And as to Bill's coment, after school is out goes well for us in school too!
