MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Aftermarket brake systems?

Any idea's what is out on the market. My system is shot so while I have to redoo everything I wanted to see what I could do for the car.

Jimmy,
Off the Shelf Wilwood, should have choice betwen road or race spec
Try Rallydesign or
http://www.cambridgemotorsport.com/

Otherwise Dave Vale usually has bits to adapt for a vented disc.

Which items are shot?

I will have to go with most of it the mastercylinder will not hold fluid. The car has been sitting for ever aka mid 1980's.
Jimmy

For front brakes you can use a lot; but if it is master not holding fluid, I would just replace the master with the original master. Why bother with anything else.

A friend of mine works for TRW here in Detroit, and designs ABS systems for Daimler-Chrysler. I was talking to him about my car and he said he'll design me an abs system whenever I want one. He has a stack of their experimental abs pumps, and the computer program to set them up for my car. the IRS for my car originally came from a vehicle with rear wheel abs, so the toothed wheels are already in place. I would have to come up with a front set up, but once I do, I can have ABS for a very minimal cost. (Not sure if I'll ever do it, but it's cool to know I can.)

Jimmy,

Could check the spec for this out which would give dual circuit.

The best bang for the buck is the Wilwood conversion offered by Fast Cars Inc. of Grand Rapids MI.(269)792-6632.They have CNC aluminum caliper adapters for the Wilwood four pots complete with braided hoses. They use a vented 11+ inch Wilwood rotor on an aluminum hat adapter for the MG hub. They do require 15" wheels to clear the caliper. This combo has been on my car for 2 years now. With the Wilwood Green pads, this system has dropped my stopping distance significantly.Just my two cents worth.
