MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Badging

Hi
Just curious how everyone has badged their cars. I picked up an old P6 V8 badge that I plan on fixing to the grill of my B, and as I was driving around recently I saw a 2001 Isuzu trooper with a "3.5L" badget on the back, it looks similar in appearance to the style of the P6 badge, which is what the MGB GT V8's used. I can't seem to find a source for it, anyone know where I can get one? What is everyone else doing, please post links to pictures too. The Isuzu badge is at

I've been lookin at the badges that are on all the new volkswagens, and with a combination of the 1.8 badge, and the VR6 badge, one could come up with a '16 v' badge in chromed letters.

V8 Badges onBGT V8s are the same as front guard badge on pre 81 Rover SD1,V8
Russell

Factory V8s didn't have a '3.5L' or anything like it. All factory V8s used the 'V8' badge on the back and left-hand (passenger) sides, only the chrome bumper cars had a badge on the front.

I think Jake knows that there was no "3.5L" badge on the original bgtv8s, so give him a little slack!

Hey Jake, I would call your local auto body guy and find out where they or if they can get the Isuzu badge for you. Those trucks get hit all the time and have to be fixed like new and have to have the same badges so they should have a source. If you can't find a body shop that knows email me and I will check my guys.

I also have been looking for extra badgine - &, yes, I know there were only V8 on grille, sides, & rear - but want to add 4.0L to rear.....anybody seen any of those?

Tony,

I believe Ford Rangers & Olds Aurora's may have a 4.0 L badge or decal available.

Jake,

Also have a look at Olds Aurora 3.5 L badges.

Cheers

Late model Ford Explorers have a nice looking V8 badge on the tailgate. Slim design with the "8" superimposed on the "V" (as opposed to side-by-side).

I think the Nissan Exterra (sp?) has a 3.5L badge on the tailgate as well. Might be stick-on rather than raised emblem.

I have the original V8 badges but always good to look at options.

Each time Landrover fitted a bigger engine, its size was blazened on the back of the car. Sometimes a transfer sometimes a badge - its worth asking landrover what they still have. TVR may be another source.
