MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Best Tyres
After trying several makes of tyres I found the Bridgestone SO3's to be superb, especially in the wet. When I tried to replace my 205/55/15 SO3's I was told that they are now unavailable and there will be no replacement tyre made. Can anyone suggest an alternative? I do a lot of track days and have a spare set of wheels with racing tyres for dry conditions, so I am more interested with the wet performance. Mark 4.6 GT V8

Well,,,,, gone with Toyo Proxes on the rear (205/55/15)and Yokohama A539's on the front(205/50/15). First Impressions good but not as good at Bridgestone SO3's.

Mark F1 D2 and SO2 have been best but their replacements D3 and S03 are considered slightly inferior. D2s are still available but Toyo have a good following with Fs as D3s caused a few intial handling problems. Paul

Paul SO2's havent been available for quite a while. In my opinion SO3's were slightly better than SO2's Michel Have tried 032R Yokos and prefer Dunlop Formula R and even better their replacement The Direzza 02G. Thanks anyway Mark

Falken Azenis 195/60/14. Great tires for all conditions. I have been running the GT on "R" compound tires for over ten years, and have to say that for the street these are much better. A bonus is that I seem to get more miles out of them than the very soft "R" compounds. Pete
