I have not done any research, but I think I know who owns this car. If I am correct it is an Adelaide car.

They are 2" SUs from a Jaguar.

cheers

I reckon this is the same car whose carb set up is shown in the book "How to give your MGB V8 Power" on page 43.
The full adverts shows it is a UK registered vehicle.

MMMMMMMmmm

I think I am wrong!!

On second thoughts the Adelaide car has HS carburettors from a Jaguar (separate float bowls) whereas this picture, plus the one Paul refers to have HIFs.

By the way the car I was referring to has a stroked crankshaft, so 2 X 2" SUs can successfully supply 4.2 litres with no shortage of power.

Airbox/aircleaners seem to be a little squeezy with this set up.

Guys , i think i may know the car very well
I just need a pic of the bonnet to prove it is who i am thinking the owner may be

Steve

I thought it was BWs car but then changed my mind in case you are thinking the same thing??

I think his inlet is a fabricated copy of an original plenum??

I have been meaning to ring and confirm.

cheers

Ian G Buckley

Yes Ian, it does look a bit like BW's car.Ive been meaning to ring him now for a while and get an update on my GT ( family problems have delayed me )
I remember on his car that he cut a rearface opening in the bonnet so that the carbs would get some cold air
