i just checked out the thread, Rick I., you forgot something in your response to using a trailer. it should have read the only time i need a trailer is when my "V8" mg is not running. us with V6 cars will drive to the hotel and wait for you V8 guys to trailer in. look forward to seeing you and your car, will yours be the single or tandem axel unit? just in case i pass you on the motorway, later, jim

Bill...The Grand Rapids airport is only about 1-2 miles south of the Grand Rapids Hilton on 28th and Patterson. This is the base hotel for the UML meet...the bas hotel for the V8 meet is directly across the street at the same intersection...the Exel Inn....Steve has a block of rooms reserved...call them.

ps...got one step closed to finishing the V8 last nite with the purchase of new Goodyear 205-60 Assurances mounted on Motegi 7-spoke 15" rims. Charcoal grey with chrome accents...looks nice with the silve/purple paint scheme of the GT...also got the new fuel tank primed and painted and ready for install.

Looking foward to meet all of you, and looking foward to see all of those great cars, including those V8's that will be towed to the convention :-)

Just having some fun.....

I'd like to know of there are any camping facilities nearby? My wife and I are planning a camping trip this summer anyway, and why not make it the summer party. That is I can get Glenn T. to add one of his trailer hitches to my V6 B.

Got my plane ticket, rental car, and a room at the Exel inn. the only other thing I need....is for the time to go faster.
I met John Twist in Santa Barbara Ca. at the BMTA annual meeting, very nice man. I also met Carl from Electic restorations, I hope to have the opportunity to visit them.

Bill Guzman

Bill...sorry I missed the BMTA meeting this year. I attended the inaugural one in Grand Rapids last year...time away from work and an MG COuncil meeting the following weekend this year prohibitted my attending. Dammit.

I was please when I purchased the most recent copy of Classic Motorsport to find yet another write-up about the BMTA...and to find its logo in so many advertisements!

The British Motor Trade Association will be making a positive impact on our hobby/trade/lifestyle!

Cheers!

Rick, it's a great thing that will help our hobby, not just the bus aspect, but the hobby in general.

I got to meet some really nice people at the meeting.
Looking foward to meet you Rick.
