MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Coolest little red V8 conversion

Can someone tell me more about this Little Red car on the Fast Cars Inc. Web page? Is there more of a story that someone can share with me/us
http://www.fastcarsinc.com/? I would like for my project car to look like this. Thanks Boyce

Probably one of the nicer cars that Ted has done. There were a number of little features that make the car unique. Check with Ted at fastcars@chartermi.net and he could give you more details.

Hi Boyce,

Ted built it for a guy in Dallas named Don Allen. Haven't seen it in person yet, but have talked with Ted about it & traded a few emails with the owner. I'm sure Ted would be happy to tell you about it. I'll also be happy to share what i know about it... just let me know what you want to know. There are several custom touches.

Fender flares and tire, wheel size and fit look just right.

I have a '67 long term project car with a 215 and Ford 5 speed in the car. The car has a fiberglass hard top and wire wheels.

I got the body fixed up and the engine and transmission installed about 5 years ago but got sidetracked by a '56 Vette that became available and needed restoring (eats money and time) but it is comming along well now and I need to spend some time on the MG. I am content with the stock body but that little red car started my old heart fluttering. It seems to have a NASCAR look to it. It has the same look/appeal as a turbo V6 Buick engined MGB that was featured in Hot Rod magazine in the 70's-80's.

The flares used on that MGB are from an Omni.

Many of us were introduced to this particular conversion at Ted's 2006 annual Winter gathering of gear heads. The thing that drew my attention was the tasteful and unusual wheel treatment of adding "baby Moon" hubcaps to a standard steel wheel and with a touch of paint striping at the outer rim - a design reminiscent of the rods and muscle cars of the 60's.
It's a wheel treatment that really flatters this car.

didn't Col Tony (autoist) do the stock mark I wheels widened to 7" on his v8 car with the baby moons about 4 years ago?? i like it but why no mark I taillamps?

Boyce, like Rick said, the flares are Dodge Omnis.

Front wheels 15x7 with 4 1/4" backspace. Front tires are 205/55/15. Front end is Ted's custom IFS and is 53" (2" wider than stock).

Rear wheels are 15 x 8 with 4" back space. Rear tires are 225/50/15. Rear axle is 51" wide.
