MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - D&D Fabrications swap kit
Hello, Does anyone have experience with the components that D&D offers for V8 conversions? I'm considering using their motor mounts as well as their T-5 transmission mount, crossmember and drive shaft. They also offer a 4 row brass and copper radiator and a 15" engine driven fan. I like the idea of single parts source for those of us using the T-5. I've heard good things about Dan LaGrou and would like to hear from anyone who has used these parts. Thanks, Joe

Joseph, I've installed Dans engine mounts and brackets and they fit well and position the engine low and close to the firewall, which is what I wanted. I have alternator brackets and the T-5 driveshaft ordered now and will post how it works out after I install them next week. Gordon

you would be hard pressed to find a more knowledgeable fellow on aluminum v8's , he's got every part you will need and is a fair and honest merchant, i am sure many others on this site will echo the views, good luck, jim

Joe- I have been buying parts, 1 engine, T-5 transmissions, one off stuff to my design from Dan for at least 10 years, & never gotten a bad deal, wrong part, or bad price. Some things are not cheap, but so what. Quality is much more important. Additionally, Dan is free with his advice & knowledge

Joe, I'm in Gaithersburg, get in touch off list if you want to see some of D & D's stuff, talk V8's. Jim |

Gordon, Thanks for the response! I'll be placing my order before the weeks end. Jim, I met you and we spoke briefly at British Car Day in Bowie last year. You were the one who first suggested that I contact D&D for my parts! I'll be taking you advice. Thanks Again, Joe

Go order some stuff from Dan--He is honest, helpful, kind, generous, etc. and all of that other boyscout stuff. The bottom line is the parts are good and he is a fun guy!!!

Here is a link to their website: http://lotus.www.50megs.com/DDFab.htm

That is not D & D's web site. It is a copy of their catalog, but neither Dan nor Karen is responsible. It is accurate, as far as I can tell, but I do not know who put it up.
Jim Stuart
It is interesting to note that it appears that the 215 on the cover of the catalog has a Olds head on the right bank and a Buick on the left... wonder how that works out?

works pretty well as a demo engine, which is what it is.
