MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Is it a V-6 or V-8 T-5

The tranny is labeled 86 camero. It has 14 splines on the front and 27 on the rear shaft. The only numbers on the case are 13-52-097-901 and 13-52-066. There is a tag with the numbers 14084169 Bz 652
13-52-071 19239
These are the only markings I can find.
thanks

The 13-52-071 tag indentifies the tranny as GM 1985 Camaro/Firebird 2.8 V-6.

just for reference, 14 splines = V6

I have a 94 Camaro T5 which has the proper bell housing to mate to the 3.4 BUT it also has 28 spline front 27 spline rear shafts like a V8 T5. I believe there was a thread saying that GM may have mixed the parts in 94 and 95??
The speedo output is driver's side also. I checked ratios and the is indeed a V6 unit with the 3.75 to 1 first gear.

Thomas, your trans sounds like mine. But when I checked my numbers on an info web site, it came up V-8,
mid 80's camaro. Also, isn't a V-6 T-5 much shorter than a V-8 T-5? I remember complaints on the web from people using the V-6 version and the problem it created with the shifter location.

The salvage yard computer will show what trannies will go with what. I believe the 94 - 95 T-5's and t56's will bolt right up to the 3.4. Check with your wrecker, they have all the cross refernces.

I also purchased a 94 Camaro drivetrain. The engine, tranny, and drive shaft. I was wondering if this was the tranny with the gear ratio that would work with my 3.909 rear end. I read on here before that the t-5 came with different ratios. The normal t-5s from V6's, and the world class t-5 from V8's in 94-95. I want to be able to use all five gears, and not start off in second. Did I get lucky and buy the right tranny?
